Alfa is a screening test that identifies students at risk for dyslexia and/or developmental language disorder (DLD). The test also functions as a follow-up tool, providing insights into how the class’s reading and language skills develop over time, regardless of whether the students experience difficulties.
The test is administered to the entire class and is standardized for each grade level, from preschool to the first year of upper secondary school. It takes only 15 minutes to complete in a classroom setting. The class teacher can administer and conduct the test without the need for specialized pedagogical training or certification.
