The Swedish Institute for Standards (SIS) is appointed by the government to be the standardization body in Sweden within ISO and CEN’s areas of responsibility. SIS offers companies, authorities and organizations active in Sweden to influence the content of Swedish and international standards.
SIS’ main task is to stimulate Swedish influence in the international standardization work to provide strengthened competitiveness and stimulate trade, as well as create societal benefit, competitiveness and efficiency by increasing the use of standards or standardization.
The committee, SIS/TK 450 Information management in the education sector, prepares standards that support and help the education sector’s digital development. The standards create the conditions for an ecosystem of digital services and systems that work together with a secure and efficient exchange of relevant data. In the long run, the work contributes to reduced costs and improved quality within several parts of the education sector and in information exchange with other sectors.
The committee works actively to identify areas where a common standard can be the way forward for digital solutions in the education sector – from preschool to university and Komvux. By taking advantage of initiatives and interests from relevant actors, the committee has an important role in the digitization of the Swedish education sector.
The committee has its focus on national standardization but is also involved in monitoring both European and global standardization in the area.
Come and meet us during the SETT days if you want to get a deeper insight into what is happening behind the scenes regarding digitization in the education sector.
We talk about joint solutions for the school’s digitization, about SS 12000 and why it is recommended by the Swedish National Agency for Education, about EMIL and the SUSA hub that helps prospective students find the right education and about all ongoing projects that will facilitate your choice of digital learning resources!
Welcome to hear about how your school/organization can benefit from these standards and about our committee!
