Elaine Munthe is a Professor of Education and Head of the Kunnskapssenter for Utdanning, a national center based at the University of Stavanger since 2019. Her research career spans several decades, focusing on topics such as bullying in schools, teachers’ work in classrooms, professional learning and knowledge use by teachers, and qualification for teaching through teacher education programs. She led the “Digitalisering i grunnopplæring” project, also known as “GrunnDig,” funded by the Norwegian Directorate for Education and Training. The project team, comprising researchers from three universities/colleges, summarized knowledge on the use of digital learning resources and findings from a large survey among teachers regarding their own use and assessment of competence.
