Mark is an internationally recognised and award-winning Primary trained teacher with a first class Computing degree. He has many years of both primary and secondary teaching, lecturing (teacher training), commercial educational training and industry experience. Mark lead the introduction of Computing across all school key stages (phases) several years ahead of government changes, resulting in him playing a leading role in the writing of the English National Curriculum. He is a former founding Board Member of the Computing At School group who campaigned for a change in the curriculum. He later went to work for them as the National Professional Development funded by the Department for Education (DfE) where he initiated and lead the DfE Master Teachers Scheme. However, Mark is probably best known for founding the Digital Schoolhouse project which is being expanded nationally to 30+ projects through the sponsorship of leading video game companies.
